Ted Glosier, Class of 1971

Duchesne High Schoo was definitely a family affair for the Glosiers. Ted graduated from DHS in 1971 along with his twin brother, Tim, Tom in 1970, and Joe in 1978. Ted's parents, Gene '48 and Betty '48, were active at Duchesne during these years. Gene, along with many others, was instrumental in the formation of the Men's Club - know today as the Athletic Boosters. Funding was scarce at this time and this group of supporters took it upon themselves to expand the football and soccer fields to facilitate the beginning of Duchesne's football program. Ted remembers coming home from college on weekends to help men like Mel Plackemeier, Norb Wapelhorst, Paul Blessing, Walt Schaeffer, and his dad grill 400+ steaks for their major fundraiser - The Pigskin Dinner Dance.

During his high school years Ted participated in football, basketball, and track. He was a Key Club Member, Letterman's Club ember, and class president. Ted has the prestigious distinction of being the first DHS student to receive an athletic scholarship from Mizzou, where he graduated with a business degree in 1975. Upon graduation he returned to St. Charles and began his career in the development and construction business.

Ted married his high school sweetheart, Sue Eckelkamp '71, in 1975. They have three children, who all also happen to be graduates of DHS.
