Scholarships & Financial Aid
Duchesne seeks to educate students who share our commitment to academic excellence and service to the community. To recognize the achievements of these students, a number of prestigious scholarships have been established at Duchesne and are available to incoming freshmen. Families are able to combine scholarships with financial aid and work-study opportunities, making tuition costs more manageable. Please refer to the navigation sidebar for a list of scholarships available to freshmen and application forms.
While Duchesne's comparatively low tuition makes it an outstanding value among private high schools in the St. Louis area, we understand the significant sacrifices many families make to afford a Catholic education for their children.
The President's, Principal's, and Dean's scholarships are automatic when the criteria are met. Applications are not required. Notification to the recipients for the 2026-2027 school year will be forthcoming.
Tuition Assistance is determined individually. All families requesting tuition assistance must fill out the Blackbaud Financial Aid online financial assessment. Blackbaud Financial Aid online link. Notification to the recipients for the 2026-2027 school year will be made later in April 2026.
Additional tuition assistance is available through various scholarships as noted under Scholarships at left. Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are now closed. Awardees of these named Duchesne scholarships will be notified by email by Friday, April 10, 2026. (If no email is received, the student was not selected for the scholarship(s) for which they applied.)
Our Work Study program is an opportunity for students to work off tuition during the summer months. The dates for work study are detailed on the application. Applications for work study are due by Monday, March 9, 2026. A limited number of spots are available in each work study session. Notification to the participants for the 2026-2027 school year will be forthcoming.
The Today & Tomorrow Foundation (TTEF) provides need-based scholarships to families in St. Louis and surrounding counties. Their application is open from January 20 to February 28. Please check their website for more information. TTEF notifies families of their awards directly.
MO Scholars is a $6,375 annual scholarship to eligible students who have an IEP. Applications are open now through spring 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year. Please check their website for more information. MO Scholars notifies families of their awards directly.
