From the Director of Advancement

Greetings, Pioneer Nation!
WOW! What a month! Our Advancement and Admissions team has so much to be thankful for, but most importantly, we are grateful for all of you. November started with a new event, Music Bingo! It was a great evening with guest appearances by Slash, Kid Rock, and a slew of 90s rap stars. It was a fun and successful evening. Thank you to all of those who attended. Onto Grandparents Day! We had such a great morning with our grandparents. The morning opened with a warm breakfast and wonderful music from our students and staff. We followed the morning with trivia and a trip down memory lane with student-led tours. We hosted over 500 grandparents and always look forward to this special day. On the 16th, we hosted our Pioneer Pathways: Blazing Our Trail to the Future event with our School Board, Alumni Board, and Class Reps. It was very well attended and an evening spent talking about our vision for the future. We will host more events like this and we hope you can attend! Last, we held our Giving Day campaign, #iGiveCatholic, on November 28th. WHAT A SUCCESS!!!! Our entire community rallied around Duchesne and raised over $260k toward the immediate needs of our school. A virtual reality lab, fitness center updates, a greenhouse, and dance studio are just some of the things we hope to add to Duchesne High School. Thank you so much for your generous contributions. The day left me speechless. It was wonderful to see our staff and students engaging with our alumni and sharing their love for Duchesne.
As we enter into December, I am looking forward to visiting more of our alumni, family, and friends. If you have time, please swing by campus to catch a basketball game or stop in for a tour of our facilities. So many great changes are happening at Duchesne. We want you to be a part of them.
Sincerely,
Becky Williamson
P.S. How about those state-champion soccer players!?!? Let’s hear it for the boys!!
And Congratulations as well to our Esports and Cross Country teams, both of which recently placed at state!
