Dear Parents and Guardians,
We in the Office of Advancement wish to take this opportunity to welcome our Duchesne parents to another great year at Duchesne High School!
Our team works hard at managing the process of recruiting, evaluating, and enrolling new students while fostering relationships with and securing financial support from alumni, donors, and stakeholders.
Your support of our efforts makes a difference and is a vital part of our school’s success – we need your time and talents, as well as your treasure. Please consider participating in our annual events – be it as a volunteer or attendee. Some of the dates for the upcoming school year’s events are fluid, but our annual events and efforts as of this writing include the following. We will stay in touch as things are added or changed.
Pioneer Fund – Our annual giving fund helps to supplement our yearly budget. Tuition does not cover the cost of educating each student, so this tax-deductible donation is critical in closing that gap, and we ask everyone to participate at whatever level they can.
Enrollment Outreach – Parent volunteers help us with enrollment through outreach to their family, friends, churches, and other community resources. Contact Dana Bryan, Director of Admissions, to see how you can help! dbryan@duchesne-hs.org
Riverfest Parade – Join us on Thursday, July 4, 2024, on Second Street and Main Street in St. Charles for the Riverfest Parade! Wear your Duchesne Blue and show off your Pioneer Pride as we make our way through Frenchtown. Duchesne Alumni, Parents, and Friends Golf Tournament at Bogey Hills Country Club on Monday, July 15, 2024. If you are interested in playing or sponsoring a hole, please sign up here: duchense-hs.org/bogeyhillsccgolf.html.
Our office is also collecting whiskey for the whiskey pull event at the golf tournament. Please drop off donated bottles to Patsy Fink in our main office on Mondays-Thursdays between ADD PATSY’S HOURS HERE.
Welcome Days – Monday, July 29, and Tuesday, July 30, are our Welcome Days in addition to the mandatory Tech Orientation days. The Advancement team will be on hand near the Trading Post to help welcome you and answer questions. Please click here to register for one of the six tech sessions offered. Chicken N’ Pickle – Join us on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Chicken N’ Pickle at the Streets of St. Charles for brunch and open court play. The BE AMAZING room will be open from 10am-1pm. The outdoor courts will be available for open play from 11am-1pm. The cost is $30 per person, and food and play time will be provided. Join us for the fun! Duchesne Night at the Ballpark – Join us at the ballpark on Friday, September 6, 2024, to watch the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Seattle Mariners at 7:15pm. Tickets are $30 per person and are blocked off in sections 233 and 234. Catch the Duchesne Diamondline perform in Ford Plaza before the game! Grandparents Day – Presently scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, 2024, this annual event is an opportunity for students to share their high school with their grandparents during a morning in our gym which includes breakfast and a prayer service, followed by student-guided tours and the opportunity to have lunch out together. Parent volunteers are needed for set-up and clean-up.
Dream Raffle 2025 – Offering chances at a $120,000 cash prize or a $150,000 credit toward new home construction, along with 19 other cash prizes for buyers, awards for sellers, and free or half off tuition prizes for parents who sell tickets. Look for more information to come!
Pioneer Expedition Gala – Our 2025 Gala is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, at Ameristar Casino. Many volunteers are needed to make this event successful. Please consider joining our committee.
