Three Duchesne High School students have qualified for recognition by the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Will Fairless and Joe Phillips are Semifinalists. Out of 1.6 million students who took the PSAT last fall, 16,000 qualified as Semifinalists with a test score in the top 1%. About 15,000 will advance to Finalist status and may be eligible for scholarships through the National Merit program.
One student has qualified as a Commended Student. Erin Hannegan McKee is one of 34,000 students who are recognized for outstanding achievement on the PSAT. Commended students may qualify for Special Scholarships through corporations and businesses.
We are proud of these students and recognize their accomplishment as elite members of the National Merit program.
