Five and O

Friday night the #5 3A State ranked Football Pioneers improved to 5-0 with a 34-0 Homecoming victory over St. Mary’s Pioneer Stadium in front of a fantastic crowd.

Thanks to the many students, parents and loyal fans that came out and supported the PIONEERS!

The Pioneers were led on offense again by Sophomore Nick Thiele at Quarterback.  Nick did another outstanding job of leading the offense.  Nick was 13 for 16 passing for 162 yards and 2 TD’s.

The offensive line did a great job protecting Nick and blocking for the running backs.

Trevor Korba rushed 21 times for 104 yards and 3 TD’s and was perfect kicking extra points making all

five of his attempts.   Sophomore, Alex Moore caught 6 passes for 89 yards and 2 TD’s.  Drew Moore had 3 receptions for 43 yards.  Jared Mosquera had 3 catches for 38 yards and 8 carries for 35 yards.

The leading defense in the St. Louis area, was dominating posting the first shut out of the season.  The defense was led by:  Trevor Korba; 7 tackles and 1 sack, Drew Moore; 3 tackles, 1 interception and a fumble recovery, Rick Leach; 2 tackles,  1 sack and 1 fumble recovery, Brad Pryor; 2 tackles and 1 QB sack, Alex Moore and Nick Thiele had 1 interception each. 

This Friday is the Pioneers will play at O’Fallon Christian at 7:00.
