Track & Field Brings Home Some Hardware

Question:  What's better than winning the Discus throw in the St. Dominic Invitational Track Meet?
Answer:  Winning the Discus throw in the St. Dominic Invitational and then turning around and winning the Discus throw the very next day at the All-Catholic Meet.
The Duchesne "throwers" are cleaning house this year and have collecting medals in every meet in which they have participated.  Last Friday, the team competed in the St. Dominic Invitational against 11 other schools.  In the discus throw, Erin Neuner ('14) walked away with the gold on the girls side, while Tom Malloy ('15) captured the top spot for the guys.  Brad Pryor ('14) took silver in the discus and captured the gold in the shot put that same day.  Other medalists include:  Ali Bader- 2nd place in 400 meter dash, and Caroline Killeen- 2nd place in 3200 meter run.
On Saturday, the "throwers" got back down to business at the All-Catholic meet held at Chaminade.  Again, Erin Neuner and Tom Malloy walked away with 1st place finishes in the Discus.  Brad Pryor captured 3rd place in Discus and 2nd place in the Shot Put.  Congratulations!
