Technology

Our graduates will live in an increasingly 'digital world' that will require them to manage great quantities of information - data that will need to be analyzed critically, communicated efficiently and applied appropriately in solving problems. To prepare our students for higher education and jobs of the future, we have integrated technology throughout the curriculum to drive instruction and learning.

Our full time technology coordinator(Mrs. Kim Choinka) provides tech support and Internet safeguards, ongoing professional development and facilitates the technology committee. Our campus is both wired and wireless, which offers students the ability to access the Internet, research databases, and Web assignments integrated with their textbooks. Our business laboratory has 30 PCs; the computer laboratory, adjacent to the school's library, hosts 52 Apple computers, and can be partitioned to accommodate two classes simultaneously. All teachers have personal laptops. Eleven classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards. Four carts of 15 laptops each serve the science department. The English department has a cart with 24 laptops, while other classrooms have mini-labs of desktop computers.

The school has a commitment to the continuous upgrading of technology and ongoing faculty development, to maximize the use of technology in instruction. It is the top priority of the school's capital campaign.
