Overview

This position reports directly to the President of Duchesne High School and is responsible for directing all admissions and marketing programs. This is a full-time, year-round position with an exempt, at-will status. The primary function of this position is to increase enrollment via personal contact, marketing/advertising efforts, and public exposure of the school. This individual is also primarily responsible for driving parish communications, as well as development/management of all of the school’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google+). Successful job performance will be measured primarily by reviewing results in enrollment numbers and marketing efforts. Other performance measures will include include intra-school collaboration, department teamwork, quality of communications, and other areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Enrollment Management (approximately 50% of time)

  • Develop and maintain admissions strategic plan and budget
  • Manage the planning and execution of recruitment events including, but not limited to:
    • Goal setting, timelines, recruitment and management of volunteers, procurement of resources, publicity, and evaluation and reporting
    • Events include: High School Nights, Open House, Back to School Mixer, Pioneer for a Day, and more
  • Coordinate the prospective students shadow program, recruit and train student ambassadors, schedule visits and communicate with faculty/staff
  • Cultivate and manage the Duchesne Enrollment Management Committee
  • Act as a liaison between the school and prospective students/families, parishes, grade school principals, the business community, and other constituent groups
  • Monitor and develop statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficiency

Marketing Management (approximately 40% of time)

  • Create comprehensive marketing and communications plan (both print and digital) to promote Duchesne’s brand
  • Develop and manage content for Duchesne website and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+)
  • Create internal and external marketing materials such as:
    • Newsletters, billboards, recruitment handouts, promotional items, newspaper/digital advertisement, event programs, and more
  • Promote the mission and vision of Duchesne High School

Other Duties

  • Work as part of the Advancement team, supporting all revenue and non-revenue producing activities, completing other duties as assigned
  • Assist Special Events and Alumni Events coordinators with various events such as the Pioneer Expedition Dinner Auction
  • Assist the Director of Annual Giving and Community Relations
  • Assist the President and Principal as required
Skill Requirements

 

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business or related field of study
  • Successful, professional experience in enrollment and/or non-profit marketing
  • Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and meet critical deadlines
  • Superior oral and written communications skills; public speaking experience a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience with social media and website management
  • Must be able to work occasional weeknights and weekends for recruiting and fundraising events
  • Must be a self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision or direction
