Dean's Welcome
Thank you for visiting the Duchesne High School website. As a college preparatory high school, DHS develops in students essential skills for post-secondary education. These skills include inductive and deductive logic, critical thinking, research principles, and communication skills both oral and written. In addition, Duchesne recognizes individual intellectual differences and has a flexible curriculum of liberal, fine, and practical arts that serve students' particular needs and opens them to a variety of career choices.
Duchesne provides a Christian atmosphere in which students can develop relationships based on trust, respect, and appreciation of individual gifts. DHS recognizes and accepts the trials inherent in the transitional period of adolescence. Duchesne helps students to develop decision-making skills, to accept responsibility, to respect authority, and to contribute to a just and dynamic society.
Duchesne High School is a dynamic place where our young people work each day to grow to reach their full potential. We are dedicated to serving the spiritual and educational needs of students who commit to the DHS mission of educating the whole person, mind, body, and spirit, our religious values, and academic program. Duchesne students represent a broad cross-section of academic, leadership, athletic, and artistic abilities.
