Prayer & Sacraments
Prayer and worship are woven into everyday life here at Duchesne.
- Faculty, staff and students begin and end each day with shared prayer. On Mondays we pray the Prayer to St. Philippine Duchesne, our patroness. Other days, our prayers reflect the liturgical season and the events of the day. Always, we include the special intentions of our whole community.
- In addition, prayer takes place before each class session, all school meetings, athletic events and alumni events.
- Mass is celebrated in the DHS chapel at 7 a.m. Friday mornings. Students, faculty, parents, alumni and friends of Duchesne are invited to attend.
- Theology classes plan and celebrate Mass together once a semester.
- All-school Masses, celebrated at least four times annually, are wonderful celebrations. Students are involved in all aspects of the liturgy, from set-up to music to readings and more. The DHS community is invited to join us in the Ohrman Performing Arts Center:
