Duchesne automatically awards several prestigious scholarships for incoming freshmen.

The President’s Scholarship - $800 (potentially renewable every year)

This scholarship is automatically awarded to any incoming freshman who meets the criteria below.  It is renewed every fall if you maintain at least a 4.000 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and have no unsatisfactory conduct grades.  To be eligible, you must:

·         Select Duchesne High School as your first choice school.

·         Graduate from a Catholic grade school.

·         Score at or above the 90^th percentile on the ITBS (composite) eighth grade test.

·         Earn an A average in core subjects for the first semester of eighth grade.

·         Have acceptable conduct, as confirmed by your principal.

Recipients will be notified in February with their letters of acceptance from Duchesne.

The Dean’s Scholarship - $500 (potentially renewable every year)

This scholarship is automatically awarded to any incoming freshman who meets the criteria below.  You need not be a graduate of a Catholic grade school.  It is renewed every fall if you maintain at least a 3.600 cumulative GPA and have no unsatisfactory conduct grades.  To be eligible, you must:

·         Select Duchesne High School as your first choice school.

·         Score at or above the 80^th percentile on eighth grade standardized tests.

·         Earn a B average in core subjects for the first semester of eighth grade.

·         Have acceptable conduct, as confirmed by your principal.

Recipients will be notified as soon as possible after receiving letters of acceptance from Duchesne in February.  (Some junior high schools do not complete testing until spring.)

DHS Scholarships - $1,200 (over four years)

This scholarship is awarded to the top eighth grade student in each Catholic grade school, as determined by the grade school principal.  The award is announced in the fall, based on academic achievements in seventh grade, and activated upon enrollment.  To be eligible, you must select Duchesne as your first choice school.  This award may be combined with other scholarships.
