The Duchesne High School athletic department provides quality coaching and instruction throughout all levels of play. As an institution that strives to fully develop each student's potential, Duchesne realizes the importance of fair play and honest, respectful competition. Athletics offer students the opportunity to build confidence and discipline, and our coaching staff works hard to ensure that all student athletes put forth their best effort every day. In accordance with our mission, students know that academics come first -- and our student athletes are just as productive in classroom as they are on the field. Pioneer athletes learn important lessons in the areas of leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship and balance. Duchesne's athletic program supports our students as they enrich their minds, strengthen their bodies and develop their spirituality through team prayer.
Duchesne High School is the home of the Pioneers. Member of the Missouri High School Activities Association and a member of AAA Conference.
2016-2017 Athletic Fees
The Duchesne Athletic program aims to provide opportunities to its students to participate in a full compliment of interscholastic sports. The cost of the programs is subsidized by the Duchesne Athletic Boosters in the amount of over $50,000 per year through the Athletic Boosters' "Football Ticket " sales program and other fund raising along with gate receipts and donations to the athletic program.
In order for Duchesne athletics to remain competitive and for the Athletic Boosters to fulfill their pledged subsidy, every athlete's family will need to sell or buy five (5) "Football Tickets" for the 2016-2017 season. In addition, due to the rising costs of providing team transportation to many of the contests, referees' cost, entry and membership fees and facility costs, each athlete will be charged a $100 participation fee per sport with a two-sport fee limit ( a student playing a third sport is not charged). The fee will be assessed at the beginning of each season.
Thank you for your support of the Duchesne athletic program.
