GREETINGS, THANKS & PRAISE!
Proud parent of a freshman Duchesne High School (DHS) student and another starting in 3 years, I joined DHS in January 2009 to head the Office of Advancement. I am very excited to do all I can to ensure the vibrancy of what is already a deep-rooted tradition of exemplary education.
Some existing factors that have helped to fund this continuation of excellence include our ongoing Pioneer Fund and our successful "Faith in our Future" capital campaign. It was interesting to find that much of our past support had come as contributions eagerly donated, without trepidation or hesitation. Think about that. It speaks volumes about what board members, faculty, administration and friends have done for Duchesne High School. Their leadership, vision and participation have impacted so many lives over the years. That support has allowed us to stretch, grow and realize the dream that is Duchesne High School. Our friends and benefactors have responded over the years, and we sincerely owe them our gratitude.
For more than half a century, Duchesne High School has relied on Catholic values, creativity, sincerity and the belief that those supportive to our cause will do all they can to reinforce the educational experience we provide. In these ever changing times of higher energy costs and growing operating expenses, we find that what has worked in the past cannot always keep pace with the challenges of the future. Past successes must be renewed and rejuvenated while new ideas and frontiers are realized.
In the upcoming years, we will increase our efforts to relay our message through personal visitation with alumni and the magnitude of Duchesne High School supporters. Our hope is that through the informative education of our needs, the Duchesne High School community will answer this energized call for support; we continually strive to keep DHS true to our mission and at the forefront of an exceptional faith-based educational experience for the whole student.
