AdvancED/North Central Accreditation Review
Spring 2008
An AdvancED team of educators visited Duchesne in the spring of 2008 to evaluate our school in seven key areas. They commended Duchesne on our outstanding school climate. The visiting team observed the strong and supportive relationships that exist among all members of the school community. The AdvancED team felt this positive school climate was rooted in our shared mission of "Educating the Mind, Body, and Spirit as One". It is a mission that is clearly understood and embraced by the faculty, students, parents, alumni, and the greater community. Our AdvancED/North Central accreditation was renewed for the next five years.
The process of accreditation is ongoing. It strives for continuous improvement in student learning. The two educational target areas that we will be working on over the next five years are Writing Across the Curriculum and Improving Student Research Skills.
