Highly committed teachers present a classical curriculum, a course of study that awakens young minds and leads them to think clearly and constructively. More than 98 percent of Duchesne graduates go directly to college, many with significant scholarship money for superior performance in the classroom and in the community.

While every student follows a college preparatory schedule, our programs are designed for students representing a wide range of academic abilities. From the most gifted to those who need extra attention, a Duchesne education provides all students the opportunity to succeed.

Honors courses are offered in nearly every subject area. A student who excels in a particular area may pursue more challenging classes in that subject without taking on a full slate of honors classes. College credit is available (through Saint  Louis University and the University of Missouri-St. Louis) for many juniors and seniors who choose to enroll in the honors level courses.

Similarly, a study skills program is offered for students who need extra help in a particular subject area. Students are not placed on a study skills "track;" they instead enroll in only those courses that specifically meet their needs.  Counselors, faculty, students and family work together to tailor a schedule of required coursework and electives that assure our students a solid base for their future education.
